DokumentindholdLady Eastlake skriver til Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann (EJB), at hun vil sende hende en billet til Barings Gallery i London til næste tirsdag morgen. Desværre kan Eastlake ikke selv komme med den pågældende dag pga. et bryllup i familien. Hvis EJB vil vente med at besøge galleriet til den 8. juni, kan Eastlake til gengæld godt ledsage hende. EJB’s maleri Husandagten er udstillet hos Ernest Gambart i The French Gallery, og venner af Lady Eastlake har fortalt, at de foretrækker EJB’s maleri blandt alle de udstillede malerier. |

Dear Madame Jerichau
I will forward you a ticket for Mr Baring’s Gallery in time for next Tuesday morning but I am sorry that my necessary attendance at a young cousin’s wedding on that day will compel me to give up the pleasure of being with you. If however you would rather wait // till Tuesday week – the 8th June when I could accompany you, pray send me a line as my card will take us in without a ticket.
